I try and avoid writing about concept bikes too much simply because no-one is ever going to build the damn things and there is a new Super-Hyper-Jet-Turbo-Frameless-Wheelless-Winged wonder every second day. This bike is a bit different, sure no-one is going to build it but the basic theory, could... and should be picked up by someone... the features incorporated in Igor Chak's concept IZH-Ural concept are (mostly) those that will start appearing on bikes within the next few years and I would love to see most of them used sooner rather than later.

The main theory is a safer, greener and better though out machine... rather than just follow the normal approach to bike design i.e. make it lighter and faster or heavier and more comfortable. Igor has thought about what "should" be incorporated into a bike. This concept includes a hybrid petrol/electric power plant, two airbags... one of which acts as a front crumple zone. Also featured are rear camera, radar controlled emergency braking, blind spot sensors and some sort of magnetic braking.
