I know some of you are sick to death of electric motorcycles... however like it or not they are here to stay and more importantly as a concept and in reality, going into the future Electric powered vehicles look like they will provide a brilliant, exciting, powerful and green (not that I'm particularly concerned about the later) format.

Anyway, French company Voxan that went into liquidation at the very end of last year has been acquired by automobile company Venturi. Venturi were themselves in liquidation not so long ago, however they now have some solid backing from a Monaco based consortium and have decided that electric motorcycles are going to be a solid seller in the near future and have decided that Voxan are the basis for this vision. With plans in place to release an electric model to the marketplace within three years and claiming that older models are "collectors items" it would seem that they are planning to keep the brand as electric only.

I can only say that the more companies making electric machines the more competition there will be to force improvements in power, range and everything else that makes the current gasoline powered bike a device to own... god only knows what the new crop of electric Voxan's will look like... there past performance in this area has been hit and miss at best.
