| Italian Surprises In Store for Verona? |
|
Italian firms Bimota and Vyrus look set to drop some off-radar new-bike bombs at the Verona Bike Expo next week (15-17 January), making it a top visit if you’re anywhere nearby. Rumor has it running up to the Verona Motorcycle show (in the next few days) a couple of the Italian brands may well be showing some all new machines that haven't been telegraphed 85,000 miles in advance.Bimota and Vyrus are expected to show three new bikes between them... Vyrus with a Ducati (1198R) engined 184hp 987, with Bimota expected to show an HB4 Moto2 contender along with (maybe) another bike... rumored to be a naked DB7... which is (rumored of course) to be a Ducati 1098 powered supernaked. The Rimini-based firms have a rumoured three new bikes between them to show: Vyrus the newly-finished, Ducati 1198R-engined, 184bhp 987 and Bimota its HB4 Moto2 contender, plus an unconfirmed second bike – likely to be a naked DB7. That Ducati 1098-powered machine – a possible development mule of which was spotted by Motoblog in Rimini in late 2008 – would shake up the supernaked class good and proper.
